Description

Do you conduct your research in international and maybe even interdisciplinary teams? Are you looking to build your network as doctoral candidate or early Post-Doc?

The first Hamburg-Tsukuba Forum for International and Interdisciplinary Networking will take place online on November 27 and 28 from 9:00-11:45am (with individual modules of 1,5 hrs each). The Forum is jointly organized by Universität Hamburg and TriSTAR, a consortium for the support of career building for young researchers at the University of Tsukuba in Japan.

In international joint research, there is a need to learn how to build international networks, how to overcome language and possible cultural barriers, or how to demonstrate flexibility, but also how to improve project management skills. In interdisciplinary joint research, it is important to improve communication skills with experts in different fields, find effective ways to share objectives and expectations, and promote interdisciplinary understanding.

The Forum aims to expand international and interdisciplinary networks through the sharing of experiences and discussions on specific research (related) topics such as 1. How do we connect our small research to the big problems in the world?, 2. Healthcare technologies and strategies, 3. Demographic change, 4. Transfer to society.

The event will feature keynotes from experienced researchers and workshops for research communication.

Register by November 24 and join us on November 27 and 28 from 9:00-11:45. Please find the program and registration link here

The event is supported by the German Center for Science and Innovation in Tokyo (DWIH) and the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
