AG Seis 2024
Geomatikum, Hamburg
From Monday, 16 to Thursday, 19 September 2024, this year's meeting of the DGG Arbeitskreis Seismologie will take place at the Institute of Geophysics at the University of Hamburg, which is also in charge of the local organisation.
As is tradition, the AK Auswertung/Technik and AK Wind will also meet during this event. In addition, the first meeting of the newly founded Machine Learning in Geophysics Working Group will also take place this year as part of the AG Seismology. See the timetable to the right (click "Detailed view"!), and scroll down for more information!
The abstract book can be found here: https://t1p.de/AGSEIS-abstracts.
Thank you!
We would like to thank everybody for a wonderful time during the AG Seismology in Hamburg.
See you next year in Kiel, 22-26.09.2025.
Location
All meetings take place in the Geomatikum, Bundesstraße 55
Registration and payment:
Once you are registered, you will receive an invoice with details about where to transfer the registration fee by bank transfer. Deadline for payment is September 10th, 2024.
Registration cost depends on the sessions you attend:
AK Technik and / or AK Machine Learning (Monday, 16.09.2024 - Tuesday, 17.09.2024): 70 EUR
AG Seismologie and / or AK Wind (Tuesday, 17.09.2024 - Thursday, 19.09.2024): 160 EUR
All sessions (Monday, 16.09.2024 - Thursday, 19.09.2024): 180 EUR
Abstract Submission:
Deadline for abstract submission is Friday 01 September 2024.
Please prepare the abstract before starting the registration process. You will be able to upload on the indico platform it when you register for the meeting.
During registration you will have the option to indicate whether you prefer an oral presentation (15+5 minutes) or a poster (A0 Portrait). You will also be able to choose whether you prefer to present your work in the AK Auswertung/Technik, AG Machine Learning, AG Seismologie or AK Wind. The AG Machine Learning will be offered hybrid. Whether you prefer to attend online or in person can be chosen during the registration process.
Abstracts, including title and author information, must not exceed one A4 page and must be submitted as a PDF file. Please use a filename “LastName_OneKeyword.pdf”.
The abstract template can be found here:
.odt format: https://cloud.uni-hamburg.de/s/ZKayZ52y24QWcXT
.docx format: https://cloud.uni-hamburg.de/s/eQEDTy7DGY6iWPs
=> click "download" button at the top right of the screen.
If you wish to submit more than one abstract, please contact us.
Since there are more and more international members of the German seismological community, we encourage giving the presentations in the AG Seismologie session in English, if that is not more effort for you. Of course, presenting in German is still an option.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Hamburg!
