From Monday, 16 to Thursday, 19 September 2024, this year's meeting of the DGG Arbeitskreis Seismologie will take place at the Institute of Geophysics at the University of Hamburg, which is also in charge of the local organisation.
As is tradition, the AK Auswertung/Technik and AK Wind will also meet during this event. In addition, the first meeting of the newly founded Machine Learning in Geophysics Working Group will also take place this year as part of the AG Seismology. Once you are registered, you will receive an invoice with details about where to transfer the registration fee by bank transfer. Deadline for payment is September 10th, 2024.
Registration cost depends on the sessions you attend:
AK Technik and / or AK Machine Learning (Monday, 16.09.2024 - Tuesday, 17.09.2024): 70 EUR
AG Seismologie and / or AK Wind (Tuesday, 17.09.2024 - Thursday, 19.09.2024): 160 EUR
All sessions (Monday, 16.09.2024 - Thursday, 19.09.2024): 180 EUR
Deadline for abstract submission is Friday 01 September 2024.
Please prepare the abstract before starting the registration process. You will be able to upload on the indico platform it when you register for the meeting.
During registration you will have the option to indicate whether you prefer an oral presentation (15+5 minutes) or a poster (A0 Portrait). You will also be able to choose whether you prefer to present your work in the AK Auswertung/Technik, AG Machine Learning, AG Seismologie or AK Wind. The AG Machine Learning will be offered hybrid. Whether you prefer to attend online or in person can be chosen during the registration process.
Abstracts, including title and author information, must not exceed one A4 page and must be submitted as a PDF file. Please use a filename “LastName_OneKeyword.pdf”.

Since there are more and more international members of the German seismological community, we encourage giving the presentations in the AG Seismologie session in English, if that is not more effort for you. Of course, presenting in German is still an option.
