DESCRIPTION:You get the opportunity to participate in our highly renowned 
 SICSS course "Advanced Scientific Writing" with Dallas Murphy.\nDate: Ma
 rch 16 - 20\, 2026 (5-day block course)\nTime: 9 am - 3 pm daily\, depend
 ing on the number of participants. That means\, the afternoons can be shor
 ter (or probably free) according to the group size. Only the first day (Ma
 rch 16) starts at 8:30 am!\nLearning outcomes: Participants will learn pra
 ctical matters of structure\, technique and process of scientific writing.
  \nContent: The workshop will give participants a hands-on training in sc
 ientific writing. Each candidate must submit a written work (advanced manu
 script). \nAll participants will need to read all manuscripts beforehand
  and be prepared to constructively discuss the style and content of their
  classmates’ work. By this it is possible to see exactly what aspects of
  one’s work need elaboration and to address them specifically. Starting
  point for the workshop is Dallas Murphy’s observation that writing prob
 lems are most often ‘thinking problems’. In the workshop participants 
 will learn how to structure a piece of writing and to properly use the Eng
 lish language.\nFormal requirements for participation: Submission of a wri
 tten manuscript by March 9\, 2026\, either complete or in advanced stage (
 please upload in the indico course/call for abstracts/submit new abstract)
 . \nIMPORTANT: Follow the attached guidelines for the format of the  man
 uscript! Only correctly formatted manuscript may be accepted. Thank you.\n
 And make sure you have read all manuscripts prior to their discussion in t
