We are pleased to offer a workshop “Simulation-based power analyses in R” in the framework of the Methods Academy of the RTG 2753. Please see the details below:

Date and time: Thursday, the 26th of March, 10:00 – 11:30

Instructor: Dr. Sarah Koch, Universität Hamburg

Description: Identifying the ideal sample size for appropriate statistical power is crucial for the planning of empirical studies. However, traditional tools like G*Power are often not suited for studies with complex designs (e.g. mixed factorial designs) or for complex statistical analyses (e.g. linear-mixed models). Instead, a power analysis can be done by a simulation-based approach. In this brief workshop, participants will learn how to conduct simulation-based power analyses in R for their own research designs.
