  at the University of Hamburg invites researchers\, Research Software Engi
 neers (RSEs)\, developers\, data specialists\, and everyone interested in 
 research software to join the RSE Day 2026.\nThis one-day event provides a
  platform for exchange\, networking\, and discussion around the growing ro
 le of software in research. Our goal is to strengthen the Research Softwar
 e Engineering community in Hamburg and beyond\, foster collaboration acros
 s institutions and disciplines\, and showcase innovative software-enabled 
 research.\nWhy attend?\nResearch software has become an essential componen
 t of modern science. From data analysis and simulation to machine learning
 \, digital infrastructures\, and interactive research tools\, software ena
 bles discoveries across virtually all disciplines.\nRSE Day 2026 offers an
  opportunity to:\n\n\nConnect with researchers\, developers\, and RSEs fro
 m different institutions and disciplines\n\n\nLearn about current developm
 ents in Research Software Engineering\n\n\nDiscover innovative software-en
 abled research projects\n\n\nShare experiences\, challenges\, and best pra
 ctices\n\n\nExplore opportunities for collaboration and community building

 system\nBernadette Fritzsch will provide insights into the growing importa
 nce of research software and discuss the different levels at which Researc
 h Software Engineering is now being addressed—from research institutions
  and infrastructure initiatives to national and international strategies.\
 nTimm Lehmberg\nResearch Data Management and Digitalisation OfficerAcademy
  of Sciences and Humanities in Hamburg\nTitle: To be announced\nTimm Lehmb
 erg will reflect on two decades of research data standards and infrastruct
 ures and explore how emerging technologies such as Large Language Models\,
  agentic workflows\, GraphRAG\, and AI-supported software development are 
 shaping research and DevOps practices.\nProgramme Highlights\nThe programm
 e includes:\n\n\nKeynote presentations\n\n\nPoster session\n\n\n4-minute l
 ightning talks\n\n\nInteractive barcamp sessions\n\n\nNetworking opportuni
 ties throughout the day\n\n\n \nThe barcamp format enables participants t
 o propose topics and initiate discussions on challenges\, tools\, workflow
 s\, and emerging trends in Research Software Engineering.\nCall for Poster
