We are pleased to announce a workshop on Eyetracking and Pupillometry in the framework of the Methods Academy of the RTG 2753. Please find the details below:
Dates and times: 7th to the 8th of February 2024
Instructors: Dr. Sebastiaan Mathôt and Ana Vilotijević, University of Groningen
Venue: Von-Melle-Park 5, Room 4099
During this workshop, the participants will learn:
- the theoretical basics of pupillometry
- the theoretical basics of eye tracking
- how to implement a pupillometry experiment using the free software OpenSesame
- how to analyze pupillometry/ eye-tracking data using the programming language Python
Prerequisites / Preparation:
- Latest version of OpenSesame (https://osdoc.cogsci.nl/ ) and a basic understanding of the software (see tutorial https://osdoc.cogsci.nl/tutorials/beginner/ )
- Python will be used during the workshop; knowledge of Python is not a must, but would be beneficial (see free tutorials at https://pythontutorials.eu/)
Dr. Sebastiaan Mathôt and Ana Vilotijević are based at the Department of Experimental Psychology of the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and work extensively on the topics of eye movements, pupillometry, and perception.
