AI, Sustainability, and Corporate Accountability Symposium - Israel Edition 2026
(3rd Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Symposium)

The AI, Sustainability, and Corporate Accountability Symposium - Israel Edition - 2026, co-organized by the Institute of Law & Economics at the University of Hamburg in collaboration with The Hadar Jabotinsky Center, will take place on September 2, 2026, at Beit HaMukhtar, HaMeyasdim 44, Zichron Yaakov, Israel. This third edition of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Symposium explores the critical intersection between artificial intelligence governance and corporate sustainability obligations under the EU's twin transformation agenda. As organizations face simultaneous compliance requirements from the AI Act and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, the symposium addresses urgent operational challenges including harmonizing risk assessment methodologies, managing conflicting disclosure requirements, and integrating due diligence processes across digital and sustainability domains. The one-day event combines expert presentations in workshop format with roundtable discussions based on practical case scenarios, facilitating structured dialogue between academic researchers, practitioners, regulatory authorities, and corporate compliance officers. Young scholars are particularly encouraged to participate in the interactive discussions. The symposium is conducted in English with no registration fee, though attendance is by invitation only for accepted presenters and approved registered participants.

Abstract submissions of at least 500 words are due by July 1, 2026, with limited travel funding available for selected presenters. If there are multiple authors, please indicate who will be presenting when submitting your contribution by clicking on the microphone symbol next to the names of the co-authors. For registration to attend the symposium, please also fill out the registration form using the "application" form at the bottom.
