Scientific Program

The program of the SICSS Retreat is now finalised and can be found @ materials.

Our special focus 2022 will be science communication. For this, the trained physicist Michael Büker will come on Tuesday, May 31, for a whole day workshop. He will be supported by Stephanie Janssen from CEN outreach. You can find more about Michael Büker here and the concept of the workshop on the front page.

These elements are fixed already:
Due to the high number of participations, we will skip the individual introduction of our new members. Instead we will have a common get-to-know-each other session.

1) all SICSS members in their final year, i.e. you will finish your doctorate until May 2023, are asked to present their research in a short talk of 10 minutes. Find the guidelines here and under materials on the front page.

2) evaluation of best talks: You will discuss among yourselves, which evaluation criteria are crucuial for an excellent talk. After agreeing upon 3-4 main criteria, you will apply these on the senior talks. At the end we will honour the 3 best talks of the retreat 2022.
