SICSS Retreat 2022 - Welcome to the registration pages!

Take a moment to find out what our SICSS Retreat 2022 will be about:

The SICSS retreat aims at building a closer network within the SICSS doctoral members. We believe that wide and stable networks may support you throughout your doctoral journey and may even trigger your professional journey in life to a great extent.

Our annual SICSS Retreats always comprise certain elements: (a) getting to know each other, (b) new members introduce themselves, (c) doctoral members in their final year give a talk, which is (d) evaluated by their peers and the best talks are honoured. Each year, we have (e) a special focus. It will be science communication this year. And we always have (f) some leisure activities and lots of time to connect to your peers! Last but not least: (g) at the end you will select your new doctoral speakers.

Please note that the participation in the annual retreat is a mandatory element in the structural program of SICSS. The retreat traditionally lasts between 2.5-3 days.

Please bring along:

  • Computer/notebook, if possible
  • Swimming suit, if you want to give the Baltic Sea a try!
