The aim of this 2-days-workshop is to impart skills that go beyond purely scientific work and to prepare doctorate candidates for situations in which they will present their research results to different target groups.

The participants will

  • Learn the criteria for successful scientific presentations
  • receive feedback on their impact as presenters
  • receive tools with which they can improve the comprehensibility of their content and the contact with the audience
  • increase their credibility as scientists

In addition to teaching the theoretical basics, the main focus is on the presenting itself. Special exercises are carried out, e.g. on certain aspects of body language. The doctorate candidates give a short presentation, which is recorded with a video camera. Everyone receives structured feedback from the other participants aand the trainer. Using this information, the participants participants create their personal presentation profile.
