Main Topic "Biodiversity and Climate Change"

We are delighted that we have been able to recruit three very interesting people for our main topic 'Biodiversity and Climate Change'.
They come from threee different backgrounds, i.e. science & research (Prof. Begerow, Univ. Hamburg), public service (B.-U. Netz, BUKEA Hamburg -Ministry for the Environment, Climate, Energy and Agriculture), and an NGO (J. Tribukait, WWF)

    Prof Domonik Begerow holds a professorship in the Biology Department of Universität Hamburg since 2022.

  • Bernd-Ulrich Netz

    Bernd-Ulrich Netz, born in 1965, is a qualified biologist and studied at the Universities of Hamburg and Sussex (England). After graduating, he worked as a landscape planner in a planning office and later in the Hamburg-Altona Nature Conservation Division. From 2003 to 2013, he set up and managed the Lower Elbe Integrated Station (Schleswig-Holstein). From 2013 to 2021 B.-U. Netz was Head of the Nature Conservation Division, Hamburg, and since 2021 he is Head of the Nature Conservation and Green Planning Division of the Environmental Authority in Hamburg.
